Hang out with other fantasy book lovers and discuss the monthly book. Meets once a month on the second Thursday at 6:00 in the makerspace. 

Held at 10:30, Friday Morning Storytime includes songs, fingerplays and some great stories. This storytime is most appropriate for the preschool crowd, but everyone is welcome.

This fun program is intended for kids age 5-10, but everyone is welcome! Each week is something different; it might be art, it might be crafts; could be Code-a-pillars and Beebots; or we might just play games.

A balanced breakfast for teens will be provided every Saturday in the summer!  From 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.- pop into the teen room for some breakfast foods. For grades 6th and up.

Join us two Mondays each month for a fun puppet show with songs, games, and learning! 

Summer Reading for 2025 is so much fun! Each Tuesday morning at 10:30 we will host a different performer aimed at school-age children - though everyone is welcome to join us.

This program will take place outside on library grounds. Food and drink will be provided. 

The board for the Wasco County Library Service District meets at 4:30 on the third Tuesday of most months.  These meetings are usually held in the meeting room at The Dalles Public Library; though at least once a year at Dufur and at Maupin.

Join us for a monthly Jewelry Making class at the library! Hosted by jewelry designer Tiffany Whipps, each session will explore a different technique and you'll create a unique piece of jewelry.

The Matter-of-Fact Nonfiction Book Club is a monthly gathering for readers who enjoy exploring the world through factual narratives and true stories.

Fun and games for toddlers and preschool age children! Every Wednesday morning in the library meeting room at 11:00 am until 11:30 am. Adults must accompany their child and sometimes can join in the fun. Games, Music, and dance!

Join us every month on the third Wednesday for a family-friendly movie matinee of a new release! Snacks are provided and everyone is welcome. Our March feature is Moana 2. Hope to see you there!

Music & Magic in the Park is a family friendly event, in partnership with Northern Wasco County Parks & Rec, held at 6:00 on Wednesday evenings.

Admission is free. There will be concessions available for purchase.

3rd Thursday meets the third Thursday of each month at 4:00pm.
