This month’s Storytime goes wild—in the best way! Inspired by The Wild Robot, we’ll explore stories about nature, robots, machines, and the magic that happens when the wild and the mechanical meet.

Help come solve the mystery of how the stuffed animals lost their stuffing! Go on a scavenger hunt to find the answers! And at the end of our hunt, we'll make our own stuffed animals to take home! 

Join us at the library for a special violin performance inspired by The Wild Robot! Portland-based violinist Lauren Guerin will perform songs featured in the film, modern classical selections, and futuristic pieces to match the robot theme.

A Wild Robot Community Read Event

Every Monday morning at 10:30, join a librarian and a special guest buddy for a storytime. The buddy might be a puppet, a community helper, or a visiting critter. It's a mystery, and it's always special!

One-on-one reading helps kids gain confidence. This program is open to all kids from beginning readers to those looking to practice with a patient, furry listener.

Come craft with your friends on a dedicated server

Help your young reader grow with confidence! Join our Literacy Launchpad, a fun and supportive literacy program designed for children who need a little extra help.

Join us for a quiet, calm evening storytime. We won't have bright lights or loud singing, and we'll have a sensory toy or bin for everyone to play with while we listen to a story. 

Join our weekly walk/run from the library every Wednesday at 9:30 AM. We take the same lovely route each time, beginning at the Dalles Library parking lot, and ending with some refreshing snacks and drinks at the finish line!

This book club is for school aged children and teens (6+) and an accompanying adult who will read the same book (together or separately by themselves). The books we read can be enjoyed by all ages!

Join us for a Family FUN night with a STEAM learning spin! Each month on the second Thursday, we'll gather in the main library for a family-friendly activity in the genre of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and/or Math.
