The Read What You Want (RWYW) Book Club meets every second Wednesday of the month. This is a book club for rebels who like to read whatever they want. We discuss the books we've read, what we liked and what we didn't.

Join us at The Dalles Public Library as we welcome back Sean Gaskell. Sean is a virtuoso of the Kora, a lute-like instrument of the Malinke people Western Africa.

We at The Dalles Public Library welcome back favorites Duane Nelson and "Coyote" Joe Sartin to regale you with poetry, music and tales. Join us Wednesday, June 13 at 6 pm in the library's main room for an evening of melody and rhyme.

Dance to improve cardio and fitness.

Saturday @ 9am in the Dalles Library Parking Lot.

Clare is an expert dance/fitness instructor from Bingen, Washington. She has a program that will challenge everyone. 

Parents, grab your smalls and join us for a fun filled afternoon of learning and entertainment. Introduce your kids to The Sandlot and use our supplies to create your own catapult, just like in the movie. 

Four Chord Fun: Ukulele Basics is for the absolute beginner who wants to start learning to play.

Monthly meeting for the Wasco County Service District Library Board; meets at 4:30 on the third Tuesday of each month. Meeting locations usually rotate between Dufur, Maupin and The Dalles libraries. 

3rd Thursday meets the third Thursday of each month at 4:00pm. For the June 20th discussion, we are reading Rosewater: a family's story of love, capitivity and survival, by Maziar Baahari. 

Each month we will teach a guided watercolor class. These are simple and beginner friendly classes.  

Get rid of distractions, come into the present moment, contemplate the art in front of you, notice the detail, let yourself just be with the art. Supplies and art exercises provided. 

Come explore our Makerspace and see what fun things we have to do. Staff help is available. Watch for future open days by searching open makerspace in the event search bar. 

Read, Renew, Repeat, is the theme for our 2024 Summer Reading program.  There will be performer led events on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 for all ages.

We Are Legion (We Are Bob) By Dennis E. Taylor

Time for the 2nd annual Music & Magic in the Park!  This family friendly event is held in partnership with Northern Wasco County Parks & Rec, will be at 6:00 on Wednesday evenings, June 26th through August 14th (no event on July 3rd).
