Bring your favorite storybook character to life to fill our storybook pumpkin patch on display at the Southern Wasco County Library. It’s easy and fun for the whole family! Any size pumpkin or gourd, real or not is eligible for entry, BUT NO CARVED PUMPKINS, they get messy and rot.
Important dates:
- October 9–23: Deliver your pumpkin, with a completed entry form, to the SWC Library in Maupin during regular hours.
- October 24-29: Vote online (Facebook) or in the library for your favorite pumpkin (One vote per person, please)
- October 30: Winners announced online & prizes can be picked up
- November 2: Retrieve your pumpkin by 5:00 p.m. (Unclaimed pumpkins are discarded.)
Rules:
- Pumpkins must be inspired by a book or a character from a book
- Participants may draw or paint on pumpkins, and attach/glue objects, paper, or materials of any kind.
- Pumpkins may NOT be carved, cut, or hollowed out.
- No candles, electrical devices, or vulgarity of any kind is permitted.
- Entry forms available at the library beginning September 29, 2023
